- Redoing our 6 month Compass and Binder. This is listed in the ingredients section under 'Binder'. Each family member (includinng mom and dad) sets 6 month goals and makes a list of things they want to learn about, books they want to read and anything else they want to add. They make a plan that they review with their dad and I. The compass will be referred to often throughout the next 6 months. These goals and plans are placed in the binder.
- Reviewing our schedule. We loved our schedule from our last 6 months. We have only made a small change or two. We will continue with family work for two hours in the morning. We are now going to practice the piano in family work instead of before breakfast.
- Skills classes. I have two love of learners that have already requested multiple skills classes for the fall. I will schedule in these skill classes in the afternoon. They will be short (20-30 minutes?) and they will still have a lot of free time to practice their new skills, learn other things or just play. I am excited that they have requested to learn some skills! Some of the skills they have requested include cursive writing, creative writing and mathematics. Jumping off the conveyor belt took some faith, but we are surly repeaping the rewards!
